For nearly 200 years, J Barnsley Cranes has been associated with the design, manufacture and installation of overhead travelling cranes, hoists and related equipment for all types of industry.

We have particular expertise in the manufacture of Explosion Proof equipment and cranes for use in Hazardous Areas, specifically in the oil, gas, chemical, nuclear, water and sewage, power generation and waste handling industries. We also design and manufacture equipment for Non-hazardous Areas for more specialised applications.

J Barnsley Cranes offers a complete package from initial briefing and recommendation through design and manufacturing to installation and maintenance programmes. We are familiar with complex documentation requirements for both home and overseas markets. Quality accreditations include ISO9001, 2000 which formally recognises our quality system for crane design and manufacture.

After installation we also offer a comprehensive breakdown, maintenance, spares and refurbishment service for all types of cranes through our Apex Barnsley Division.
